Ordered my fist aluminium for cnc machining.
Going to try and make some camera quick release plates to get experience.
Then, when I’m comfortable, make a height-extension for my #TravelCNC to allow for larger objects. Particularly on the 4th axis (where the height determines the diameter, not the radius)

I guess I’ll try with my chinese HSS cutters first.
When that works fine I can switch to the more expensive carbite cutters I got for my birthday.

Don’t know.
UPS is very effectively keeping my Aluminium delivery from me.
Soon I’ll leave for Christmas, so there’s little time left to do anything at all.

The Aluminium arrived!!!
For a start I choose the softest one. It’s stronger then expected and the surface less scratch-proof then expected at the same time (Fingernail).
Should machine just great!
