Good idea. But why do you want to waste so much tape on both the sides?

It’s much easier to apply with some excess tape on the sides

I prefer using thicker sheets or tape. It’s more durable, much easier to apply (like putting a thick A4 paper on top of it). I know they might not be available everywhere though…
