Just micro-frogging…

Details please?

Radical! Some guys on the PrintrBotTalk forum were printing tiny stuff a while back with mixed results. It’s a cool thread… http://www.printrbottalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=2755

@Marcel_Corbeil What would you like to know?

I use those same TRee Frogs as benchmarks for my Rep 2! Nice!

good night

Those tiny frogs look out of reach for a FDM printer. Or, the process of a lengthy and painful calibration process. Impressive. What are the layer heights, and nozzle dimensions?

Well there was a great deal of calibration, but mainly because we’ve never printed that small before.

The first 2 micro frogs were at .15mm layers. .40mm nozzle. 2 perimeters. 20% fill.
The next 2 were .08mm layers.

We printed 2 at a time in order to give ample cooling time.

Print speeds were very slow. The results are pretty awesome.

Now that we know it’s possible to print that small, we have a .25mm nozzle to start playing with.
