Not every day that I can post #guitar p0rn AND cnc p0rn in one post!
Here is the first ‘serious’ CNC job, I wanted a clear Plex pickguard for the Brunette telecaster I built over xmas, so I scanned the one I had, traced it in Inkscape, and cut a new one on the CNC.
I flamed cleared it (altho the cut were very clean) and it’s a perfect fit.

Thing is, what actually drove me to build the CNC in the first place is likely to be the fact I couldn’t get a pick-guard /just like that/ – so it’s the most expensive and complicated DIY pickguard, ever

Nice Les Paul in background.

Cool. I loved cutting out the pick guards for a few guitars. Dont rely on that huge bevel bit for engraving. Get tiny carbide cutters for that.
