Time for another update on build an ESP8266 based Avatar weather station. In the last article I covered reading out of I2C data from the pressure / temperature / humidity sensors and how to interpret them and store them efficiently. I decided to push talking about 2’s complement and sign extension topics to the next article. I ended up making this the complete topic for this article. Do you why we use 2’s complement to represent negative numbers the reason for its existence. For my budding engineer readers I think its a must read, if you are familiar with this topic you may still enjoy reviewing the topic. Enjoy and see you next time!
