This is what happens with hairspray on glass for printing ABS. The bottom layers shrink. Does not matter if you’re printing an aesthetic object, but it does with mechanical parts. These plates are 1/4" (6.35mm) thick. Once I switched to ABS-acetone glue on PET tape, I got straight edges.

More than likely what’s happening rather is that the PET is acting as a slight insulator for your glass and you’re getting more constant temperatures. Do you have your heated bed PID tuned?

Well I have a Lulzbot AO-100 which came fully assembled and calibrated. So I never checked. Would have to look up how to do that.

Oh I forgot to mention: I used the same glass with already PET on one side, I simply flipped it to the untaped side to use hairspray. The PET was underneath the glass on top of the Mk1 PCB heated bed.
