I had to read this 4 times before I realized the spring you were talking about wasn’t an extruder spring for tensioning.

@Adam_Steinmark Respect, but you’re not a true 3D Printer fanatic until you wake up and use your printer LCD’s thermistor readout to check the ambient temperature of your house.
Wow! This is an idea. Thanks! It actually works and can probably used to measure fever as well. Fast and effective.
by the way it’s now 30 degree Celsius in Zurich
@raykholo Oh I don’t want to check the ambient temp. The ventilation shaft to my room is currently in repair so summer + 3D printer = room sauna.

@Electra : yes, I used an Ultimaker 2 with heated glass bed and glue stick. Material is PLA, 40%infill 0.8 shell thickness @195C
