Just because I couldn’t leave well enough alone, I have decided to give one more print a go before the printer gets shelved for a few months.
This time it’s one of my own design.

It’s a 1/35 scale turret from a skink anti aircraft tank, destined to adorn one of my Sherman tank models.

In all honesty from what I see so far it is neither accurate nor clean enough to be usable as a master, mostly because I am using quite large layer heights.
But what the hell it will still(hopefully), sit proudly on my shelf as something I have created, from 3D software right through finished product.

Apologies for the Crappy phone pics.

Have added a few more photos of the finished product to the album.

On the top in particular you can see the result of my choice of thick layers is quite noticeable.

Despite that I am actually reasonably happy with how this has turned out.

Surprisingly few flaws, and nothing major, even most of the support structure broke away without too much issue though there are still some elements stuck to the inside of the roof.

So I am calling this a moderate success

Definitely won’t be doing any fine work with too high of a layer height. It also looks like your Z home is set way too high, you shouldn’t be seeing all that lose plastic in the skirt and first layers.
