A milling tip I’ve found that works really well when you have a wooden milling table, is to use oversized holes and rawl plugs. That way once the plug is worn out you just swap it for a new one!

Simple but great! 'll think of it next time 
Good idea. I used the 1/4-20 inserts on mine. Some of the threads has started to wear out and two recently popped out the backside. I’ll use this method next time.
