Got some more done on the milling machine, tables almost done, Gantry is coming together, just need to weld some plates in all the areas that will be skimmed.
I’m sure you have checked it but, are those rail bearings really rated for that weight
this look very well but i agree @Henrik_Larsen i put about four blocks for rail, its more realible, good job @Sam_De_La_Haye
@Henrik_Larsen , @Eugenio_Villaverde I’m glad you guys are here! I will be entirely honest and say that didn’t entirely… Cross my mind! This design was to replace my big one which ended up being far stronger and heavier than I thought. Seems like there’s a pattern emerging! This one partly designed of the back of my big one took about two days to design, not an excuse but in need one sooner rather than later 
So best bet from here on would be to go up to 8 blocks on the table, do you think?

@Sam_De_La_Haye 4 block ist enought but 8 block give you more durability, stability and rigidity, when you cut hard… should see how they work these blocks

@Eugenio_Villaverde Brillant thanks for the advice! just in time as I need to order the steel which will be rectified tomorrow! So I need to add a little more for 4 extra blocks.

i like your design machine… i think its more rigid than a mobile bridge… i thinking about a little machine about 900x500mm work area but its only in my mind… i hope in a few months build it
Will those bearings hold the gantry weight ok?
@Eugenio_Villaverde maybe I should go into designing mobile bridges next!! At least those shouldn’t come out over weight!! Does 900x500 count as little? would that be moving gantry? Look forward to seeing, always very impressive your machines!
