Possible one of the last videos made on my wooden milling machine, before its upgraded to its steel frame. In this video I’m showing the milling of the parts to make a simple vacuum table. During the machining I lost connection with my uc100 USB to parallel adapter, luckily all turned out well in the end but am aiming to get to the bottom of why it happened.

Nice vacuum clamp. Switch to LinuxCNC and avoid those stupid Mach3 errors.
@Billy_Huddleston Thanks! Could do with sorting something out that’s for sure! Never had a problem with my old computer and the exact same setup using a parallel port. Of course once it died trying to find a replacement led me down the road of buying the UC100 motion controller. Which was supposed to make things more reliable! Waiting for that bit!
@Rosemiro_Goncalves_L Thanks glad you liked it!
@Sam_De_La_Haye I use LinuxCNC with MESA 5i25 + 7i76. They work great. the 5i25 is a FPGA and allows LinuxCNC to stay as the motion instead of having the processing offloaded to a separate motion controller. 7i76 is just a really nice Break out Board that compliments the 5i25.
@Billy_Huddleston Thanks for that! I’m going to have a look, definitely could with something a little more reliable than I have at the moment.
