Cool!

that looks awesome!!

Thank you :slight_smile:

Very clean design, it looks great! Looking forward to a video of it in action!

I’m jelly. Nice printer

Looks nice! Suggestion though, you may find the z axis rods wobble at the top as they are unsupported. If that happens it will show up in your prints.

If it becomes a problem I see that those top two brackets could be redesigned with a hole/bearing in them to be the stabilizer for them.

Looks nice! Much like a Mende90 by @nop_head but I enjoy the simplified mounting of the Z and Y motors onto the sheet.

@Chuck_McManis Don’t constrain the Z rods at the top! This will over constrain the whole system and mean that any eccentricy or bend in the Z screws has to apply a force to the X-axis. You are better off leaving them unconstrained at the top and decoupling the leadscrew in the XY plane from the X axis.

Another very effective way of combating Z wobble on this design would be to shift the little tabs that hold the Z axis leadnuts to the top of the X-Ends rather than being at the bottom. This is a change the was made to the Mendel90 design that really helps with layer alignment, especially on early layers.

@Sanjay_Mortimer good to know Sanjay.

what is called the control board?

@Pavel_Omelchenko It’s a Smoothieboard - http://smoothieware.org/smoothieboard

thank you! I tried to understand the photo, but every time I was called to another board https://reprappro.com/shop/components/duet-pcb/

Thank you all for your comments.
@Sanjay_Mortimer good to know about the Z nuts, now this is added to the list of futur updates.
