Have you seen our #3DPrint gallery yet? http://www.color.co.uk/products-services/3d-printing/3d-printing-gallery/

I’m not really sure that I understand the concept 3d printing. Can you atleast explain it?

“3D Printing is an additive manufacturing technique –different to the subtractive manufacturing techniques used in milling, machining, turning and sawing. Additive manufacturing is a form of high-speed prototyping where models are made up of layers.” - read more on #3DPrint here http://www.color.co.uk/3dprinting/ @syminington_khasu hopefully that explains things a bit better for you.

Basically, you put something not completely unlike a hot glue gun under computer control, and then you print layers of plastic in exactly the right shape until you have exactly the thing you wanted.

Cool bit of history: One of the very first reprap test machines was built out of a hot glue gun and some mechano.
