The profile end cut I hope is perpendicular; in my case will be machined.
I’ve mounted only 2 triangle plate because I’ve do all this in half hour of my free time; will be 2 bottom and 2 top :wink: The tringle will be laser cutted from a steel plate; can be 3d printed with slots for a precise 120° mounting.

The spool and the extruder will be on the top; it’s is possible to extend the profile but now are 800mm lenght and over there is a linearity problem and the shipping cost increase.

I’m working to move the motors below the printing plane: this can increase the printing area and, maybe, the stability.

The dlp printing is very interesting, but the mechanical strength is very low…

I have solid edge at work, and solid works and inventor at home: I think sw is the best.

very interesting, how do you think o realize that v-profile wheels? I’ve designed a such similar linear guide, with printed cursors, but I can’t find any kind of v-profile ball bearings wheel…

Ciao @Dario_Marrini ​, per questo progetto ho utilizzato i profilati standard di http://www.motedis.com/shop/ e le ruote di @Mauro_Manco ​ che sono economiche e fatte in Italia. Puoi altrimenti usare le ruote di http://openbuildspartstore.com/ da abbinare ai loro profili, o anche a quello motedis come è stato fatto qui http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:344408

Per l’altra stampante, che usa dei profili di 30x30 con cava 8, me le sono tornite io.

wow, complimenti… io per la mia kossel ho preso le guide hiWin, ma avevo in mente di farmi un carrello stampato con delle ruote con v-profile, ma non riesco a trovarle…

Ruote a profilo a v eccomi…una kossel con le “mie” ruote in Italia è già in costruzione oggi mi hanno portato una cinghia di trasmissione tonda che potrebbe eliminarli l’uso di pulegge costose…ma usando semplici snodi 5x5 (per la cinghia vedete il mio ultimo post publico)

@Mauro_Manco ​ let me get a link about your wheels please, I’m curious, I’d like to eliminate expensive HiWin guide to use a homemade guide + printed cursor, but I miss availability of polymer wheels with a v-profile, or a v-grooved one
