Our new mini hotends are ready to be shipped this week
Where can one buy these?
I would live to test one of those
It does look interesting, the size difference would mean some extra print height.
+Peter van der Walt @Shai_Schechter looks like a really interesting solution, and considering i’m just looking for a replacement to my good old E3D-V5, this seemed interesting, but i think that for smaller items (like this hotend) their international shipping charges just aren’t a valid option - i get either 31$ with usps, or a whopping 141$ with ups. i’ve sent and received shipments of items up to 20kg from/to all over the world - and never has it cost anywhere near 141$ (not talking high priced insured items).
so i don’t know if it’s a business decision, or if there’s just no other options due to some weird location or whatnot - but this effectively limits their customer base to the u.s.
Would that work for dual extrusion on a delta printer? I ask because it is often difficult to find hotends and heat breaks for dual extrusion on delta printers and it looks like it could fill that need.
@Tom_Keidar Email me your shipping address to shai [at] http://deltaprintr.com along with a screenshot of the checkout page and I’ll see what the actual cost is. We ship via priority mail only, so it may cause the price to bump up a bit, but this guarantees you get it within a week usually if it’s international I believe. But email it to me and I will check.
The UPS option we don’t really use… we should actually disable it. Sometimes it throws weird numbers, but usually it’s on point.
@NathanielStenzel Any hotend can be set up for dual extrusion, what exactly are you looking into? This hotend is really small, so you could stack it back to back (since it’s not cylindrical heater) to save space.
@Shai_Schechter a picture of two of these mounted on a delta printer’s effecter would be cool. You see, it is hard to get two hotends on an effecter when they are round. I myself will not be in the market for hotends for a bit. I just hope to reduce the headache for others.
Sounds a bit rude.
@Mark_Scott were you talking to me or someone else? If you are talking to me, I was definitely not trying to be rude. I am trying to help other delta style printer users on their quest for dual extrusion.
@NathanielStenzel sorry. I was immaturely referring to ‘mini hot ends’ in a British finding-a-double-entendre-manner. Nowt to do with anything you said, Nathaniel.
@Mark_Scott I do not get the British slang, but okay.
@Mark_Scott Now I’m curious.
@Tom_Keidar I get the same, either $31 or $159.59. Wow. No thanks, I’ll fire up the mini lathe and make my own for less than shipping.
@Steve M What country are you located in?
@Steve_M What country are you located in?
Australia, which makes it even worse since I assume those prices are in USD. Once converted to AUD, $31 becomes AU$42.92 and $159.59 = AU$220.96. Yikes.
+Peter van der Walt Please let me know if you going to order one of the Hotend, I might go in with you.thanks
I can report back that these suckers heat to 190c in 18 seconds and 240c in 30.
