Out with the old in with the new. To bad the printer never ran past start up before I blew the Melzi board with reversed power :slight_smile:

Ya didn’t want a Melzi anyway. They have a design flaw in that they don’t have any filtering or protection on the FT232RL supply, D+ and D- lines. Many big PC driven prints have failed before completion on mine specifically because of this. There is room for modification however :wink:

Learn form my mistake, and do not change Pololu voltage with metal tools, as you can short out the driver. Power it down, and use ceramic tools or anti static devices… Good luck!
