Part 1 of the Hangprinter build series is published! Who needs one? Who wants one? And how does it even work?

Can’t wait to see you guys drill into Trinamic’s walls. This is going to be great…
I want a large printer and this looks like a great fit! But seems it would be very slow with standard filament and hot ends (even >1mm nozzles)!
Interested to see how much the horizontal build volume is potentially limited by the pyramid shape
I’m excited to see how this goes.
I love your videos hopefully the moderator won’t take this down like he does mine
@John_Ecker_GeoDroidJ which moderator?
@Liam_Jackson were shooting for 200g/h - should be very achievable with a good stepper/driver match and the hotend we’re going to use!
@Thomas_Sanladerer I don’t know, I posted a video here and it was taken down within an hour followed up with a post about community guidelines.
@Thomas_Sanladerer interesting! You going to get one of those 8kg spools?
@John_Ecker_GeoDroidJ you know the saying about many chefs, but given what this G+ was with fewer mods, it’s the lesser evil.
+Liam Jackson we have a 2.6kg spool of Infinity Blue at the ready
@John_Ecker_GeoDroidJ , I don’t see your post on your profile. If it was removed by a mod, it would still be there and visible but showing removed. – no reason this would violate community guidelines. I’ve been hearing a lot of this lately, one of the mods is getting too anal about stuff, but I don’t know who it is.
@ThantiK I posted it to this group under show and tell.
I just checked my own profile and noticed almost none of my posts in the 3d printing group are on my profile. I’ll have to start posting it to my own first then sharing with the group.
@John_Ecker_GeoDroidJ even your regular posts to the community should show up in your profile.
@Thomas_Sanladerer have you considered using a MOARstruder or another larger nozzle? Seems like an ideal application for such a huge potential printing volume.
@ThantiK it’s a setting in your own G+ settings
@Kyle_Taylor we’re using an E3D Titan + Volcano + 1.2mm copper nozzle, so a very similar setup to a Lulzbot Moarstruder!
Ah, that makes sense. I can’t wait to watch. I have a couple locations in our school district I’d like to try installing this but most would be in areas with difficult to control temperature ranges. I hope you get a chance to ask him about those considerations.
@Kyle_Taylor I how you doing
