Per a Reddit post, I ordered a $29.99 Fire 7 tablet to act as a screen for Octoprint.
Will see what happens.

Did anyone who got this tablet flash it to Lineage OS? (Former Cyanogen) – I’d like one, but don’t trust Amazon to not have the mic active at all times.

I’ve got an @AstroPrint Touch coming my way soon. Worth thinking about if the multidevice setup described sounds good to you; this is a single small device with could slicing, etc built in.
Originally based on octopi but extended with more magic sauce. I switched from octopi to astroprint a year ago and love it.
I tried Astroprint a few years back and went back to Octoprint. If nothing else, I’ve got too much time since then getting Octo configured to exactly the way I want it to make a switch, unless that switch happens to make Print Farm management significantly easier.
@raykholo Astro doesn’t hello with farms just yet: can only control one printer per astrobox. I hope they add multiple printers soon. When they do I suggest you give them another shot. Just swap in a new sdcard so you don’t risk your octopi setup 
I got 2, works well for me running the duet online system controls. Best 30, iv ever spent. You’ll really hate all the amazon adds though, that’s for sure…
I have 2 rooted ones fith generation with different roms. Once you get rid of the fire os they are ok.
