Photos from the kossel build, in progress.

I’m writing up a BOM and a set of instructions as I go, as there really isn’t anything out there. I’ll be submitting it upstream once I’ve done a first pass on the whole build, and caught up with the parts that have now changed.

In doing so, I’ve identified a bunch of areas where we’re probably able, with a few design tweaks, to reduce the number of different bolt sizes we need; there’s still a pretty wide variety, even though we’ve centralised on M3 now.

This will be an OpenBeam-based (360mm length) build, 10’ glass plate-bearing, IGUS-roller-derbying build. I’ll be shifting to the new roller design shortly.

I’ve still got parts in flight, and I’ve got an MTV trip starting saturday, so I won’t be back in the London office to complete the build until the week after. Hopefully, by then, the CPU will have arrived, and I’ll be able to thread filament, wire electronics and power, build a solution for holding the print surface, and polish off the documentation on the build.

Anyways, have a read of the “story so far”. Comments welcome.

@Gregory_Block I just stumbled upon this and noticed the Github page is gone.
Any new source of information?
What are those plastic bearings you are using on the verticals?
