@Prabhdial_Singh thanks
http://www.mgchemicals.com/ makes premium filaments (PLA, ABS, PET, Wood, etc.) and they’ve got several distributors around the GTA. Their manufacturing and packaging facility is in Burlington but I don’t believe you can buy direct. I purchase from http://www.sayal.com/ which has several locations around GTA/Ontario.
Some great colours
Is it all PLA? Two spool sizes?
A great filament fact for storage:
After you open these, put them back into a ziplock bag with some silica gel packets, when not in use!Great cheap way of storing your filament safely. Doing so keeps moisture/humidity from absorbing into the filament!
Leaving it out otherwise, unsealed and not protected, the moisture does eventually absorb into the filament. This is a problem that will go unnoticed until you print with the exposed filament again. It causes the filament to expand and contrast, creating defects in the filament, hardening or softening of filament, and even air pockets/moisture pockets in extreme cases. All of that which inevitably leads to extrusion problems and unusual issues when it comes time to printing!
You will most certainly experience more defects and errors if this has happened to your filament! Expect to see a very noticeable difference in your overall printing quality right away! Specifically, you’ll notice more layer adhesion issues, first layers not sticking to beds, additional holes & artifacts, and more often failed prints as well due to these issues. Some extreme cases have even reported hearing popping noises during extrusion, an unusual constant straining sound during extrusion, or even a small amount of steam/smoke streaming from the printers extruder or nozzle during extrusion. All simply because of the moisture and air absorbed into their filaments!
So remember this tip everyone! Always try to and get in the habit of storing your filament in a way that safely protects it from moisture and humidity! Remember a very cheap method, silica packets and ziplock bags(resealable plastic bags)! Sometimes You’ll even receive filament packed this way so keep that packaging and use it for you filaments!
Cheers
@PrintinAddiction yes all PLA. there are 2 sizes but they all came in the same kind of box .5 kg
@David_Wille thanks for the tip. tomorrow im getting a large pet food container with a air tight seal. some people have told me they use that for storage with the silica in it.
