Pinshape just announced a contest where you can win you very own @ZYYX_3D_Printer
that’s awesome, but as an F1 fan and car guy I’m kinda like accessories? It has everything that an F1 has on it… lol.
I agree with @brett_turnage , there is a sophistication in simplicity here, the truggy on the other hand could have any number of mods and I wouldn’t feel guilty about it
@Aaron_Horst yah. Maybe I have a poor imagination but all I can think of is machine guns? Mad max f1 car? Trex head hood ornament? Who knows maybe I am just not getting it.
I don´t know if it´s allowed in the contest but a new front and rear wing would be really cool!
@Daniel_Noree That’s what I was originally thinking when I heard mods, but when I read the contest it’s designing parts that fit on the pins, so the original nose and wings must be the same.
@brett_turnage @Aaron_Horst @Daniel_Noree Hey guys, thanks for the questions. Basically, you can re-design parts of the original RC F1 car and IT IS a valid entry to the contest (it doesn’t have to be an “additional accessory” if you would prefer to remodel an existing part). We put the holes in the model to give people an idea of what they could design as an accessory & make sure it’s compatible with the original design. That way if someone wants to download the original F1 car, they can also download your accessory and attach it. If you decide to remodel an existing part in the F1, please make sure it’s compatible with the rest of the car and can still have enough room to host the electronics kit (the same one that Daniel uses for his model). My apologies if it wasn’t very clear on the contest page – I’m going to re-word it a bit so it’s more clear.
@Lauren_Watkins thanks for clearing that up! Now I’m excited to make modifications that are more than just a Trex head hood ornament or machine guns… not that there is anything wrong with that :P.
Great can’t wait to see them! Though I have to say I was excited to see a Trex hood ornament as well
Let me know if you have any other questions
