Pixels in the snow
Boston’s weather has provided me with an abundance of natural light-diffusing material (snow), which I decided to put to use. What you see here is a temporary installation of LED pixels under new-fallen snow. We’re expecting another 6-8 inches tonight.

That’s excellent!
Stay warm Mark.
I live in Laval, (tis North of Montreal, Canada) and when I see the amount of snow that you have now in Boston, to me it looks like spring !!!
Next year for XMAS, I will definitely have a setup of LEDs in the snow. Great idea, tis the cheapest best light diffuser !!
Yeah, it’s not the snowiest place on earth; we’re just having an extraordinarily snowy month compared to what is normal for us. So I decided to do what I do with everything: throw some LEDs on it!
I know, recently you guys have been hit harder than we have. Thanks for intercepting the snow for us even if just for a while…
I think we got about another foot last night; it’s still combo down but not as hard. I’ll see if I can get more video tonight.
I was going to say it’s cool, but that’s self-evident
I can’t live in a country where it gets so cold the landscape changes… That just ain’t right…
You need to build an led snowman!!!
Mark
I think you guys are getting all the snow from Minnesota as well the year we have about 4" on the ground
Hey @Erin_St_Blaine –
♬ Do YOU want to build [an LED] snowman? ♬
it doesn’t HAVE to be a snowman…
(I am finding it rather awesome that you just asked me that question, and I happen to be dressed from head to toe like Anna from Frozen at this moment) (and it’s hot as heck outside in California wearing this heavy cape, so chuck one of those snowballs over here)
