PLA is a picky beast when it’s your first time printing PLA and your used to ABS, although I’ve noticed that once everything is dialed in its really nice.

I’ve been thinking about getting some PLA… is it hard to get the ABS out of the nozzle when you’re trying to print at PLA temps? Or did you just clean your nozzle completely?

All I did was set the hot end to ABS temp and manually fed the PLA through until all I saw was PLA, you might want to let it cool then heat it back up to 95c and slowly pull the PLA out of the extruder to remove any remaining ABS.

Surprisingly PLA seems much sturdier when printed than ABS, just it can’t take as much heat as abs.

What temp do you run the PLA at during printing?

Around 170, right now it’s at 180 as I do t have my heated bed ATM (blew up)
