PLA vs ABS…actually, they look pretty similar.
Is the black the abs?
Yup. Same g-code, temperature is the only difference.
Thanks for sharing this. Is there any difference in the feel? What about strength?
Wife says the Abs feels better from a surface texture… They’re small enough that strength and weight are hard to tell apart. Support structure seems to come off a LOT easier on ABS, and there’s just the slightest bit of warp on the abs.
On my Printrbot, the ABS seems to have better definition, almost like standard TV (PLA) vs High Def (ABS). Maybe a slight exaggeration.
