“Power-only” USB cables (ones that don’t pass data through, and therefore make you think that your thing isn’t working even though it is) CAN ALL DIE IN A FIRE NOW EVERY SINGLE ONE THXKBYE.

Let them all burn! I ran into this issue a few days ago.
Hahah oh man I’ve thought I’ve killed so many teensys because of them.
Cables can be repurposed, like to tie a garbage bag shut, or to tie bundles of wires together, or in a pinch, used as a string repair on a large marimba (please don’t ask how I know this) … it’s the person who came up with that idea, they need a good flogging.
They should be flogged with the abominations of their own creation.
With USB full-size “A” and “B” connectors on the ends.
For some reason after I read this post, the scrap metal guy on TV in Houston came into my mind, "…bring us your scrap wire and we’ll strip it for free…pay you in two dollar bills.
