Power supply/fry updated pic
Opened the case, looks like something went very wrong at the PCB / power pin junction.
I hypothesize: loose connection > intermittently skinny connection > intermittently hot connection > eventually burned. Thermal runaway of a sort.
Update: after brief inspection, @Benjamin_Greenwald thinks a capacitor shorted and failed. He’s probably right.
Smells like… victo^Hfail.
