Powered up my +Printrbot Simple and OctoPrint would not recongnize it…
Powered cycled the @Printrbot a few times, finally got the Printrboard in lsusb but still Octopi would not recongnize it.
Plugged it directly on my Mac and it is see by the system but Repetier can not connect to it. Gives me a “Couldn’t open port for device usbmodem12341” error…
I reflashed the board it went through the flash procedure but at the end said it did not find a board to send Gcode to…
Any ideas ?
Ok, well, one more power cycle after reflashing seem to have done the trick. Repetier now sees the printer
I’ve experienced this a few times and a reflash has always worked. May also want to double check the serial port settings in RH.
Yeah that was scary. I’m used with Arduino and microcontroller, first time I see a board like that firmware go like corrupt…
For some strange reason some printrboards won’t “boot” if one of the endstops is engaged. Try homing it and cycling power to see if it doesn’t come up. Then get everything off the home positions and try again.
