Preparations have begun for the booth! I picked up a 4’ x 6’ wire rack shelf for all my wall and ceiling hung pieces. Still need to mount whiteboard on the front of the shelves, behind the pieces. Nothing’s final yet, feedback is most welcome.
I’ll have several more pieces on tables, along with the interactive/educational ones.
Come see me at Maker Faire Kansas City on June 24 & 25 at Union Station: http://kansascity.makerfaire.com

Great, very impressive effect.
I love the effect on the lower LED strip, shining from the center to the sides.
Great collection, Jason! I love your Fibonacci mappings. The soundreactive animation on the strip reminds me of this: https://plus.google.com/115124694226931502095/posts/iMQiXg3tTH3
I wish you a great time and a successful exhibition. The “global color palette” is a good idea. What about manipulating this palette in response to the audio data?
Thanks @Stefan_Petrick ! The strip is running a version of that code that I slightly modified to use palettes. It’s mounted in an aluminum channel with diffuser cover: http://a.co/fuXsh47
Each piece is completely independent, running on its own MCU (all Wemos ESP8266 except the 2D Fibonacci which is running on a Teensy). They’re all running mapped and slightly modified versions of @Mark_Kriegsman 's ColorWavesWithPalettes: https://git.io/vSdx8. I have them all plugged in to the same power strip, so they all start at the roughly the same time. They slowly drift apart over time. I’ll either try to get them to time sync with an NTP server, or just reset the power strip when they get noticeably out of sync.
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll give it a shot if I get time. I still need to get several other pieces and the display finished before the show.
