Preview of our web update only the laser web section is viewable
wanted to pass it by +Peter van der Walt and anyone else before we publish it
http://fabcreatorlaserweb.businesscatalyst.com/laserweb.html
Amazing @Bonne Wilce you have chosen extremely well on using LaserWeb. You customers are really going to appreciate it
Thanks. Yeah just a draft prop loaded with typos but just wanted to see if you all happy with the direction and yes we can add a link to your Google plus. Any other things?
Contributors I can add too. If you send/share a photo and your details and your contribution I’ll create a laserweb team at the bottom
@Bonne Wilce @FabCreator most pages on http://fabcreatorlaserweb.businesscatalyst.com/ are 404’ing ( http://fabcreatorlaserweb.businesscatalyst.com/fab100.html http://fabcreatorlaserweb.businesscatalyst.com/fab40.html http://fabcreatorlaserweb.businesscatalyst.com/fabkit.html http://fabcreatorlaserweb.businesscatalyst.com/our-story.html etc…)
we only exported the relevant pages, the rest is on http://www.fabcreator.com I edited a lot of the typos but forgot to reupload an am in the workshop now so will have to wait till later tonight
+Peter van der Walt @Saskia_Smits gotcha, I missed that it was a different domain. All is well on http://fabcreator.com proper.
Sorry, what was I being asked about?
Cool, makes it so much more real
as peter said, we are pushing a big web
update. i posted just the laser web part for you guys to see if there is anything else you would like to add,
i am up for creating a contributors page or laserweb team. but need to know who, photos and what you did
Team/contributors page would be awesome. Although I’m not finished yet I’m claiming the communication and message layer refactoring :-p. Next week I’m going for the TinyG. Photo of me just steal my https://github.com/Cinezaster profile picture.
awesome
I have a pic on G+ and a github account, but there really isn’t much on my github else than my currently dormant bucketmilling project and laserweb and stuff I track for work. Feel free to have a link to the contributions page. I imagine the Laserweb one contributions page has or will be copied and modified.
Oh. I have a http://paypal.me link on the laserweb one contributors page. Not like I did anything since then, but I guess the code was copied as is to laserweb two.
I will do so Peter
Copied it over to LaserWeb2 Wiki, just need to do some editing to reflect the new LaserWeb project.
The article is very nice overall, I just hope that the feature list is attainable in a short period of time, as there is nothing worse than putting your hopes into vapor ware. I am however, fairly confident that if Peter, along with the rest of us who are invested in making this a reality, will be able to make it happen. And kudos to you guys at FabCreator, one of the nicer kickstarter/product launches I have seen in a long time. It is nice to be part of the golden age of open source hardware/software.
@Bonne Wilce If you need any help with documentation, give me a shout, always willing to lend a hand.
thanks @funinthefalls all the features we believe are attainable laserweb1 has most features above laserweb2 just needs to implement them in the new code i think it can be done. as for the physcial lasers, they are already up and running for the most part. we just missing cable chains which is driving me mad because IGUS are taking for ever to complete our order… rang them yesterday, order? what order? ooooo that order, yeah ill talk to the orders department…
so hopefully we get it tomorrow and if not Monday now…
ooo stop tempting me need to make the lasers cutters first, sls later
