"Print it or else" - What would you like me to print next?

“Print it or else” - What would you like me to print next? I have access to several FFF (FDM) 3D-printers via our showroom/store and would like to share my knowledge on how to attack some of the more difficult objects out there. If you have an object you’re having issues with, let me know and I’ll post a video on how-to-print-it. Post a link to your thingiverse model and a description on what’s troubling you.

I’ve never had trouble a quick re-level hasn’t fixed. The tricky thing for me is getting the temperature right for my filaments. The only brand I’ve bought where the recommendation isn’t completely wrong is @ColorFabb_Helian_Pol (I love their PHA/PLA blend. Seriously my favourite filament)

@Anton_Mansson This probably isn’t an extremely difficult print, but i just created this crazy anime lego hair: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:214861
Would love to see it printed

Print SMAUG!

Yes, this thing: http://makezine.com/projects/guide-to-3d-printing-2014/make-your-own-mega-make/
The files are linked to in the article. It is a bitch to print (with ABS anyway) - I’ve been using it to get my printer dialed in.

@Tim_Rastall seems interesting, will have a goo on it within a few days. Anything particular, except for ABS-warps im guessing?

@Anton_Mansson it’s very detailed and requires supports. It’s just not very printer friendly. The stl model is tiny for some reason, so I’ve been scaling it to 1000%

For a medical device housing prototype (and perhaps other compnents), Anton, what materials would be suitable?

@Kel_Mohror Taulman’s medical-ish nylon is your best bet, but you really shouldn’t be using FDM for anything that needs to stay clean/be cleanable.

The tiny fissures on the surface between layers are perfect homes for all sorts of bacteria.

@Kel_Mohror Yeah, as @Nick_Parker mentioned, taulman is the choice as of now. But for those i would use some sort of primer/clear coat that is approved for appropiate things ro cover those tiny fissures and holes to keep it waterproof and easy to clean. But still, that wont give you a perfect solution

Thanks for the insights, Anton. Perhaps in the future we can do business.
