Print number 2 on the i3.

Print number 2 on the i3. I haven’t even calibrated the extruder in this thing. Its blowing my mind how good this thing is working.

I’m using a Bowden extruder ATM but would like to move to direct so I can use ninjaflex on this machine.

No support or raft this before I pulled it off. This is justPLA yellow. I would benefit from a hot end fan but later.

Hey I’m doing the same thing ha. But showing that cheap desktop machine can compete with Fortus level machines and beat then sometimes.

Well I’ve done a 10" platter in pla on a cold bed in pla without an issue. Bigger then that you’ll probably start needing a bed. I haven’t tried printing on anything larger than a 12 x12 bed though.

My friends dialed in I3 with a J-head has produced the best printed parts I have ever seen to date. It may not be fast… But the parts look damn near injection molded.

This thing has shown me what real speed is. I have the acceleration at 5000 now and its doing it. My big box needs 800 or so to not drop steps. 80-100 mm/sec with instant acceleration is a hell of a difference between snail acceleration.

@Joe_Spanier my Eustathios is at 9000 acceleration. I can run prints faster timewise than higher print speeds on my old corexy which used 4000 acceleration.
