printer is working. problem is pronterface will not even open on ubuntu, its installed and showing up in my app manager but its not accessable at all, i dont even get an error message. any help?
Nevermind baud rate is too high for ubuntu. Went back to windows.
There shouldnt be something like a too high baudrate on linux. Also running my printer on a centos machine. Try starting pronterface via a terminal/console window and see what it outputs there. Should give more of a clue on what is happening.
The printer just wouldnt connect apparently the baud rate isnt supported its the same with all hosts i have tried on ubuntu and the problem is similar for others.
Ok. Very strange. I never had any such issues the last years on a few linux distros. Currently running octoprint on centos and repetier host on archlinux, both flawless …
I know it was totally unheard of for me too im not sure if i may just have a dodgy laptop tbh it is rather old haha. But im delving back into the firmware later because im still callibrating it. Getting horribly stringy prints
did you install python ? if not do it
then try to run pronterface via terminal windows
cd Printrun-master
then type : python pronterface.py
Yeah i managed to get it running un ubuntu using terminal commands and changing the baud rate works well now even got it printing well until i ran out of filiment _’ heated bed arriving soon too will inform on progress
so then good luck and enjoy
Thank you very much
