Printing at glass covered with uhu stic paper glue. Temperature at table is 90st C and everything stays there until print is finished;) . Here is picture after printing, some glue stays at print but it is caused by putting glue at hot plate. If you put glue at cold table and wait there will be no signs of it.
is the glue water-solvable ?
pla or abs?
I print PLA on Kapton tape - 55 °C nothing went of during print.
@Muccaneer_von_Munche AFAIK yes
@Karsten_Fuhst paper glue is muuuch cheaper than kapton tape
Yes uhu is water solvable and easy to remove. This print is ABS, for PLA it works too. I really like this simple solution.
Did you try hair spray?
The Kepton tape is expensive but applied once. How many prints can be done with one glue application?
I don’t now. I have just started. I’m using it as an alternative to ABS juice. Uhu is easier to apply than kapton and less toxic than abs juice based on aceton.
It has to be washable glue stick, I use the purple kids stuff.
Hair spray works a treat, abs @ 65-80C depending on room temperature. Extra strong.
I tried this , it works very well. Thanks for sharing the tips.
try Elmer’s washable school glue, goes on purple and dries clear then it’s ready… Works great. only need to redo after 5 -6 prints.
Well, this solution is also alternative to Elmers school glue. I don’t know if elmer’s products are avaible in Poland. Picture shows what happen, when you are putting glue stick on already hot hotbed
What’s wrong with PLA on hot glass?
@Chris_Thompson1
When printed tall objects with small base, in the mid due to wrapping, it commes off - then whole print is wasted.
I guess that would need some support.
But after applying the paper glue stick, Now I am able to print without any support.
