Printing glass clear PETG .
I did a test with 1.5mm nozzle to see how clear it can be printed. Printed with 1.2mm layer and 200C.
are these materials food safe?
It is FDA approved whatever that means
That means yes - it’s food safe material.
Hate to be that guy but just because the material is FDA approved doesn’t mean that it’s still FDA approved after running it through your printer. The simple act of pushing the melted plastic through a brass nozzle can cause the filament to pick up contaminants. If you really need to create a food safe print the only way to do so is to use FDA approved filament, completely disassemble your hotend, extruder, and anything else that touches the filament such as a bowden tube, and to completely clean everything and wipe it down with rubbing alcohol to sterilize it.
@Adam_Steinmark You are completely right - didn’t have the time to explain it thoroughly.
