Spent too much time figuring out the problems I was having with Slic3r 1.2.5 (edit: I mean’t 1.2.6).

Love slic3r. Been using 1.2.6 for a while with OctoPi server. Just recently purchased Simplify3D to see if it is worth the $$ (Since they don’t offer a trial). Enjoy supporting the open community, but Simplyfy3D does appear to be at another level better and starting to think the $$ is worth it. Outputs appear more accurate / cleaner sides and infill bonding to the parameter is more accurate. No gaps or wholes. Anyhow; give slic3r 1.2.6 a try, it ironed out many bugs in 1.2.5.

Prototype 2 is looking good

Yeah, my issues weren’t bug related. They just added a new feature called XY compensation that one must now use to perfect print accuracy. No more problem :). Slic3r 1.2.6 is awesome.

Beautiful! Ive been playing with larger nozzles. It sure speeds print times… About 6-8 times faster if you don’t mind visible layers. I rather like it for big parts.

Proto 2 looks awesome!!

I’m printing 0.3mm layers here for that purpose. I bet a larger nozzle would be well suited to this application.

For plane parts like mine, you really aren’t concerned about visible layers.

Are you sharing the files for that project Andre ?

Yes :), They are released under the terms of the CC BY SA. I recommend you grab the files from GitHub if you want the files now. GitHub has my latest changes. I’ll be making a V1.0 release soon. https://github.com/CircuitGrove/OpenSwift
