Would you be happy to share a print recipe for that Jeffrey? It looks quite successful.

Got my Simple assembled at the weekend. I got great prints from the first attempt with the suggested default settings… Print no 3 was the same Octopus but in Pink.

I think the settings were
0.2mm z step
PLA at 215 deg
30% hex infill
3 perimeter shells
0.2mm z retract.

I’d have to check the rest when I got home. I believe the main thing that makes it work is the X and Y belt upgrades instead of the string based axes.

There was some small warping on one of the legs that ended up just off the tape but it looks somewhat natural since it’s next to the waving one.

I too are in the process of printing GT2 belt parts, but even with string and sandpaper it’s bloody accurate. My biggest problem at the moment it’s bigger parts start to warp and lift off my blue tape. I also get the occasional layer separation, but I think that’s caused by the warping.
I’m running much cooler, only 200C… maybe why?

I had issues with warping when I was running at 205, or when it gets off the tape. at 215 and for parts that are on the tap I haven’t seen any issues yet.

I had some warping with one of the Y axis parts for the belt upgrade before so I reprinted after I did a hack-job of installing and and it came out super flat at 215.

Hmmmm. Started a quick print before work this morning at 210C. Ended up with a bird’s nest of strings which after 5 layers was enough to start catching on the head and causing remelt blobs. Killed it. I’ll try again this evening.
