Printrbot or Brook Drumm , does the Printrbot crawl/CNC use the printrboard.

@Printrbot or @Brook_Drumm , does the Printrbot crawl/CNC use the printrboard. I am wondering if you have a branch of marlin that you are using for the CNC versions that i could check flash on a rev F to get around all of the safety features (ie thermal shut down) right now i just us a 5k resistor, but i would like a better solution.

(My next plan will be to down load the printrbot branch of marlin and pull out the thermal checks)

I believe they’re using TinyG for those, not Marlin.

Tinyg v9 (g2) with our new software in the google play store. Do your parking in fusion 360, then load gcode into the Printrbot Cnc app. It is not compatible with v8 :frowning:

@Brook_Drumm thanks. We are not doing cnc, but some strange mechanical test automation.

I chose your board because it is cheap and nice to work with.

So I should be able to simply flash tinyg on the board then correct?

@Camerin_hahn TinyG won’t run on a printrboard. It was originally developed for a Xmega, and now runs on ARM boards.

@Whosa_whatsis thanks. Will hack up marlin. Sorry was at work without time to read up on tiny g.I do appreciate the comments.

@Camerin_hahn i have a marlin laying around that should serve your goal. Drop me an email at d.braam@ultimaker.com

Our Marlin is on github. The printrboard can also run grbl - used in Cnc stuff but Tinyg is crazy good so we went with that

@Brook_Drumm So for folks with Simple Metal and with Play(s), will there be a kit for sale to convert over to TinyG to take advantage of the better motion control? The idea of a quieter Printrbot would be nice. As would the lack of nozzle pressure buildup.
