Problem: too many hotends that I want to play with. Let’s see, I have:
A diamond hotend
An airbrush hotend from @Rene_Jurack
2 Chimeras
0.25mm nozzles
A Deltaprintr hotend
And a multitude of v6’s including some volcanos.
Also that Y splitter from Aliexpress is already on a machine here and I got it tuned in.
So. Each thing gets its own printer. We’re designing up a little 200x200mm prusa/ printrbot style machine and going to laser cut 5 sets from MDF. Got no shortage of control boards, probably going to spend a bit on motors, heatbeds, glass, and LM8 hardware, and hoping to have a nice reproducible machine for playing with different things side by side.

Nice - how’s the Y splitter working
I still have to get my Chimera / Cyclops to work properly

Splitter needs a dump bucket. That’s where I left off on the large black sheet metal machine. That and the bed needs to be straightened out.
I’m intrigued with using a splitter with chimera - for example 2 colors of PLA into the first nozzle via splitter, and pva support out the second nozzle. Lots of fun setting up the tool change code for something like that.

When you get to deltaprintr mini hotend let me know what you think. I’m having jamming party on that one.

I have their printer too. It’s decent. You know, when the arms aren’t flying off. I think the extruder is where my issues were coming from and once I adjusted the spring those got better.

My issue was with retraction. Even as short as 1mm retract would jam it… It looks very much like heat creep issue
