That’s SO beautiful!!! How obnoxious would it be if I made one for my dining room

Oh smacks, so cool! What wonderful fun.

I hope that’s not for just one wedding! Rent that sucker out!

Nice Setup! Must have been a beefy power supply!

@Colin_Harrington this is the power supply: https://www.amazon.com/RSP-320-4-2CC-Supply-Conformal-Coating-Display/dp/B018CVTWVQ

Are you a little over the power reqs there? I think it was 0.06 amps per pixel (20ma * 3 per color) * 2400 = 144amps which puts you at 720W at full brightness.

Yeah, I am way over the power reqs, but I set the globalBrightness variable to about 100 (because the chandelier is totally blinding otherwise) and everything stays super cool and stable. I did try running the full chandelier at 144 amps as an experiment the other day; the power supply didn’t heat up or shut down, but the leds did start to “brown out”

As a general note: I almost never size my power supply to run my animations at 100% brightness and full white. I find it’s just a waste of money and potential power. I put some big old capacitors in parallel with the power bus to help deal with transients or to do things like short “strobe” flashes of bright white, and I have never had my micro controller power cycle or LEDs get corrupted data.

So good! It’s inspiring.
