Progress so far, almost all parts are printed. But need to source more parts.
What are the black tiers made of, Are they 3d printed or ready made rubber
@David_Baron That truggy is looking really sweet man. I love the black and yellow color. Great work!
Where did you get your CVDs? I am still having a hard time finding a good source in the USA.
@Joshua_Updyke tell me the dimensiobs and i can find a good source… Im still having trouble finding the right file to open in cad…
I got mine at Conrad.com. The ones that are linked in a few places in the forum. I THINK they are 118 mm. Bryan put this github up for sourcing parts https://github.com/bryancostanich/OpenRC/blob/master/Truggy/BOM.md
If you find a good source, update that list for others searching. @Daniel_Noree , maybe a good idea to link to that github in the description?
there are many rc websites with a bunch of parts from differebt models… I am a frequent buyer at those places and they are the better sites. If i have the dimensions i can find some and put up a link
I found some on hobbyking that look correct. But they are back ordered and hobbyking has no idea when they will be back in stock. Worse of all after almost 3 weeks of waiting hobbyking did not even ship the rest of my order. So I have been waiting for nothing.
The biggest problem I’ve had before buying these is that many spare parts don’t list dimensionless on their parts.
I made an order on hobby king yesterday, of motor, transmitter, receiver, servo etc. My first plan was to source everything from an 15 yo RCcar I got when i was a kid. But realized modern parts are both smaller and better in many ways.
Modern parts are way better… Stronger materials etc. plus they are more easy to find. Again post tye dimensions you need and i can find a few choices very easily
@Abc_Def The CVDs used on this project are roughly these dimensions:
shaft diam: 3.5mm
shaft length :78 mm
thread diam: 4mm
thread length: 10mm
thread shaft 12mm length ,5mm diam
socket :12mm diameter , 7mm width.
The CAD file for these are on grabcad. But you have to open the .stp file first and generate all the part files.
@Joshua_Updyke @David_Baron i believe those cvds are 1:10 scale truggy cvds… They may be a standard size. Length isnt a big variable but i cant tell about the other dimensions… They may be standard. I will get back to u with something soon
Guys, where I can find the rear wing ? I’ looking for the stl file
Extract it from the step file
could someone please post a link to the wing assembly STL files
