Prusa i3 MK2 :soon: MK2S
New rods & linear bearings under the heated bed (Y axis) and some other minor changes. It will be accessible as an 50$ upgrade (for MK2 users) and in form of new printers soon. @Josef_Prusa ​​​ noted: β€œMK2S runs the same firmware and the same g-codes. The print quality is the same as with a brand new MK2 so no need to rush with upgrading. We are gradually rolling this update to the production. Price remains the same and upgrade kit from MK2 to MK2S will be available soon for roughly $50. Upgrade will contain smooth rods, better LM8UUs, U-bolts and misc fasteners. We will provide g-codes to print the upgraded printed parts.”

@Jeff_Dewe ​​​ But the upgrade kits are for users already got their MK2s, not for the new users (they will get MK2S instead soon for the same price as stated in linked blog).
