Prusa i3 xPJD - my modifications of Prusa i3. Only few printed parts and a lot of stiffness.

Looks good

And it is. It is quite funny but it is my third iteration of i3(iteration 3)

I like it! Question: why not combine the rear braces with the sides of the y-axis box?

What thickness material did you use?

When you click on that picture, its label reads Mendel Prusa i3 8mm Plywood…

Used material is 8mm waterproof plywood. @Brian_Bartlow , in this construction I have 2 easy to assemble parts: gate and table. If I combine sides with y-axis box, assembly could be problematic. Especially, when everything is at 0 tolerance. I assemble wooden construction under 40minutes without hurry.

Itś like p3Steel from irobri http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:157303

Well not exactly, my goal was to make y smooth rods maximal short. This prevents bending under it weight(mainly table). And remember that geometry in my construction is kept by bottom plate. Look at this project from thingiverse again.

Where can we find the plans of this open-source derivative?

@Luis_E_Rodriguez I’m still working at github repository. Stay tuned
