Prusa mk2 build out, part 2
Finished all the axis and extruder, not too much left to go. I will say the y isn’t in a perfect 90 with the frame. I may need to go back and adjust the mounting points. Tricky stuff 3d printers heh. How do you ever get it all perfect? Do you ever?
Nope, never going to be perfect, and if you’re like me, it’s an endless struggle to perfection. I’ve gone through 6 printers, each one had their demons.
Honestly the best printer I’ve used that just works is the printrbot simple. But there isn’t any easy way to do modifications on it either,and I didn’t own that one.
The MK2’s firmware will automatically compensate for X-Y alignment issues - so don’t worry about getting it perfect while building.
@Thomas_Sanladerer oh that’s great. I don’t know why the y isn’t just one solid part. Just cut it out of the same material as the xz frame.
I was adjusting the y idler yesterday and I accidentally turned that whole threaded rod a quarter turn. I was soooooooo pissed
