QIDI Printer probs

My printer stopped feeding half way through a print and I though I had a nozzle block. I think I have cleared any blockages that were there but now it does want to reload any filament.

I can only get the filament in a little way, no where near to the nozzles. I suspect that the feeding mechanism isnt working.

How can I test if the stepper motor is working?

Any other suggestions?

You could have some filament that jammed either in the cold end or in the transition zone that is causing the problem. Take off the nozzle and look down it. If you can’t see through you have a problem. I highly highly doubt it’s a motor issue. Just heat up the hotend and run the extruder backwards to make sure the motor is working.

I have taken it apart and there is some filament jammed in the roller assembly, I will try to clear tomorrow.

That’s probably because of an issue farther down. You need to get into the hotend itself. If you say the filament won’t even go down to the hot zone there is probably a jam in the middle section of the hotend

Thanks for the help sorted now.
