and not a rat nibble insight!
Honestly, anyone building a Prusa Mendel (“i2”) at this point should be ashamed of themselves.
lol Anothony whats wrong with the i2, seen how hard it to find a laser cut plate not the usally stuff from BQ" hardware store". then again am a shameless bastard
On the other hand, the quality of the pics is amazing!
These parts are garbage. WTF?
@jinx_OI , that’s why you build an i3 box-frame: https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-jzpqMtaIbIw/UfEJ7d9yv0I/AAAAAAAADws/gdM8y_UaWE0/w1358-h757-no/CNC_PRUSA_BOX_FRAME4.jpg
No laser cut anything needed, all hardware store parts, and the hardware store will also cut the pieces for you.
Marcus you sound like Heacents representative, do you work for them ?
No. Never heard of them before.
But I’ve worked with 3 generations of 3D printers over the years and started out with part qualities worse then this in the first 2 generations and these parts are still doing their job today.
but marcus did you ever sell parts of such poor quality.
would you pay top dollar and be happy with such crappy parts. Its not about if the parts would hold up or not, its waking up every morning looking at the crap that would burn me. after spending $600.
@Marcus_Wolschon (@Marcus) So you are quite happy to accept poor quality workmanship so long as the parts “worked” ? Wow! You must have very low standards.
@Chris_Rennie , some of us here happen to be makers. And “grew up” in a time where 3D printer parts barely existed. It was pretty damn common to print your own replacements.
@ThantiK I know
@jinx_OI As already stated:
This price is not top dollar given the included electronics and transcontinental door to door shipping.
