Question about long led strip (5m/300leds).

I have a project in mind with a 5m 300 leds strip. I already have one (ws2812b). The problem is that I can’t get full brightness all the way. The problem is not the PSU (it’s rated 20A), it’s the strip itself which might have a high internal resistance and won’t allow enough current to reach its end.
I have checked this by injecting current a different points. My problem is that I would like to avoid soldering power inputs every 50cm or so. I am lazy, and not really confortable with soldering.
Do you know if there are some led strips with “stronger” power lines ? Even if they are a bit thicker or wider ?

I’ve had to connect power and ground at least on both ends of every long strip and string I’ve ever used at high brightness. I usually inject power every meter.

Time to get more comfortable with soldering. There’s no way around it if you want to use long strips.

like @Jason_Coon said, powering at both ends is usually enough. Or even another midway and the end would be good. Every 50cm shouldnt be needed for most things

I finally found this one. It’s not Apa102, but it can work at full brightness while powered at only one side.
