Question. What method are you guys using for fusing left over filament?

Question.
What method are you guys using for fusing left over filament?
I got like 5 rolls that have few metres of filament left. Would like to fuse them all together for simple prints where color don’t matter.
Been thinking of using the PFTE tube with a great source to fuse them.
Don’t really wanna deal with pauses and feeding. I’m interested strictly on fusing two filaments.

Thanks

There’s a German eBay listing for a tool set that allows one to join filament ends after heating them with a lighter or similar heat source. The tool then shaves/clips off the bulged area. The problem with that device is that the seller will not ship to the US, and also that all of the filament has to be threaded through the hole in the tool. A toll that does not require threading will be more complex to build and more expensive as a result.

@Fred_U Yeah made a video about it. Not that hard to make if you know someone with a lathe

I just throw out the leftovers. Fusing filament just seems to be a good way to muck things up.
