Quick question for you delta guys out there:

Quick question for you delta guys out there: I am buying the last parts for my delta build and have come down to purchasing the arms. The printer is 1m tall and has a radius of 365mm. I was considering 10mm OD by 9mm ID 285mm long woven carbon fiber rod to be the arms. Does this sound like a stiff/viable solution? I will be using magnetic ball joints all around. I want to keep the arms light but still extremely stiff. Here is a link to the rods I was considering:

What is the diameter of the part that connects the ball end to the carbon rod?

@Scott_Rocca they will be printed to accommodate the rods choose so I’m not 100% sure yet. Is that a factor that’s important when deciding these things? This is my first delta so I’m trying to learn all I can.

As long as the inserts match the carbon rod ID then your fine. We use 6mm OD X 4mm ID rods for all 3 sizes of our machines. Our biggest one uses those rods at 450mm long with no issues so the larger diameter rods will be fine.

@Scott_Rocca thank you!
