Quiet spindle is so nice!
The best upgrade I have done. SO much quieter and can do just about anything.
What’s the power? (watts?) Tks.
I purchased a 48 Volt DC power supply. 7.3 Amps 350 Watts. You can have a conversation with somebody standing next to it while its at full speed. Plus I can run it at night and no-one complains.
Interesting. How many rpm. I’m running the dw660 and while it is super loud, it turns super fast. I’d hate to give that up.
According to the specs it’s doing about 12,000 rpm. I used to use the dewalt, but I have not missed the speed.
@Frank_Graffagnino I’m with @Michael_Omiccioli , I used to use the DW660 but most of my cutting happens after 8:30pm in my shop. The Dewalt was way to loud. This thing could run all night with no complaints. It isn’t as fast or powerful as the DW but it is still very powerful.
What program you running for the v carving. Also what is your feed rate and depth per pass and are you running at full 12000 rpm.
@Venuto_Woodwork I received this text layout in a Word doc from the client. Then I imported it into Inkscape resized to fit the project dimensions. Then exported to DXF for use in F-Engrave for V-Carve.
The feed rate on this one is set to something like 5in/min due to the depth of v-carve. I could have gone faster but, it worked.
