Received my PBC bearings today. Really impressed with the build quality and tolerances so far.
I’ve fitted them with some o-rings to help dampen any vibrations.

I’ve got a ton of these if you need more.
Looks like Printrbot…
@Brad_Hill I take it that means you used them and didn’t like them?
Not at all, bought them cheap from PBC for a project I never ended up pursuing I have a few hundred.
@Brad_Hill , I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks!
Looks familiar! Awesome work!

@Brook_Drumm , not really my work – it’s a Matrix Precision EX-105 upgrade for the Play. A very nice piece of kit. I’ve been working on integrating everything including the power supply into the base to help maintain the portable nature of the play.

@Brad_Hill How much do you want for 10 of these?
@PrintinAddiction I guess make sure they will work for you first, the model is FJC08E . I would guess $2.50 a piece, if they are under 13oz then first class mail is cheap. I believe PBC’s price on these is around $11 a piece.
@Brad_Hill That sounds good to me, I was a relunctant to drop $100 on something that “might” work.
@PrintinAddiction , just as a heads up – I ended up not using the compensated inner diameter (FJC08) bearings that I ordered because they were a bit too sloppy the rods I have available. Even on parallel shafts I found it not necessary to run the compensated bearings on one side.
Would be a good price if you can find slightly over-sized linear rod.
Damn, ok, sounds like it wont work in my setup, thanks anyway…
